Overseas Trainees
Clinical Attachments with HUTH
Clinical Attachments are placements that allow overseas Medical/Dental Graduates the opportunity to observe clinical practice in the United Kingdom.
During the clinical attachment, Doctors/Dentists can shadow and learn in an observational capacity only, and are not permitted to initiate or modify the treatment of a patient. Clinical Attachments can be from 4 weeks to 6 months long, and there is a policy in place to support these.
The Doctor/Dentist will be attached to a clinical department under the supervision of a named Consultant, in order to gain an overview of medical/dental procedures and systems in the UK and specifically within the NHS.
There is a charge of £300 per attachment, plus additional fees for a DBS Check and Occupational Health Appointment (if these are required).
Due to a high number of applicants, and an extensive waiting list, Clinical Attachment applications are currently on hold, and no new applications will be processed.
